My job sucks...are all jobs like this? or just mine?

hi i work at McD's and im sure everyone has worked in fast food sometime in thire life...im 17 and been working there since i turned 16...it was my 1st job and i havent had a real job since then and i hate going to work...everyone there is just annoying and i hate the work i do...i dont mind working i just hate the fast food thing...idk if all jobs just plain suck like mine? or do jobs like at kmart or w/e dont suck as bad? i hgate my job at McD's so ne ideas on where i can work? remember im under 18 and still in school...thanks

McD's is a good starter job.


It would depend what is in your area--job wise and businesses--and who of those would hire part time help or high school students. Just look at some possibilities in your area and go in and talk to someone and apply. You never know until you try.

Reply:I was gunna say most high paying jobs suck, but that's just a trade off. Doesn't fit for this occasion. Find a real restaurant (non chain) to work at washing dishes or something. They're usually better. Any college cafeterias around to work at? Get a jump on meeting people (women) there. Work hard to graduate a little early and work on the Maine Maritime Academy training ship in May-June. I think they are going to Europe again this year.

But you need to start somewhere to get the experience that will show you are a good employee and can handle more responsibility and better jobs.


So look at this job as a stepping stone to better jobs in the future.


Do this job the best you can, be happy and when you apply for different jobs in the future, you will get a good recommendation from McD.. Always give your job the best effort you are capable of, If you can't, don't disrespect the job, QUIT.
