Jobs???????????????????

Sooo, My Dad just turned 50 and has just been layed off from work at a sheetmetal place. He has been doing this most of his life at different places in Youngstown, Ohio but there is really no need for it here anymore hence not having work. He also used to be a truck driver. I don't want him to become depressed. What can I suggest to him to get another job??!!

Jobs???????????????????
Many people will tell you with a downturn in the economy jobs are going to be scarce. However, there are a lot of areas that are growing. Anything in agricultue, including trucking is growing. Also anything to do with international business that sell farming related equpiment are growing, Check out John Deere and Bonge. also anything corn related is booming. If not that try something in the service industy.
Reply:You're sweet to care about your dad. The best thing you can do for him is just be loving and supportive of whatever he does. You can't solve his problems for him, but what you can do is be there for him. When you see him, have a smile on your face and a big hug for your daddy. Ask him if there is anything you can do for him. Just be your sweet self - that's mroe than enough, I'm sure your dad would want me to tell you.
Reply:Jobs are suckin, and things are only gonna get rougher.

He needs to fight for something now.

I have no idea how you should relate that but there you go.
Reply:You probably know how to talk to your father better than any of us on here. Talking to someone about getting a job can be a touchy subject. Just be sincere about it and tell him that you are worried about him. He's probably worried just as much as you. Maybe you could try and help him to find a job.
Reply:and online job workathomeagent.com or tell him to go get a construction job
Reply:um i hear that there are a lot of opportunities at some of the car factorys
Reply:ohhhh,,,,soooo sry....:(

right now it's a really tough market....I see most people changing directions in their careers just to get different expirence just in case.....Even Truck Driving is kinda tough cause of the gas prices....

But sounds like he has allot of expirence in that field....

could try "fabrications" I've seen allot of those sprouting up...

maybe construction......Sry wish I had all the answers 4 ya...

Good luck to him %26amp; You :)
Reply:i don't know but maybe he could start a home business, or get a job doing lawn work or house repairs.

i wish you the best of luck.

Jobs?????????

i just turned 14yrs and i want a job but don't know witch to take.

so im asking you. here's my top three

1. daycare

2. hotel maid.

3.dishwasher.

so plz help me choose!!!!

thankyou

Jobs?????????
I think they Daycare or the Hotel Maid would both be good choices....But u think about which one u will have more fun with or like doing best...

Hotel maid sounds like a lot of work and Daycare i think would suit u cause...Kids may love u and u probably will be good at it...so go ahead and give that a try..

Washing dishes is not for u...and its really boring...lets leave that to the guys lol

Good Luck hun!
Reply:Last I heard you have to be 17 to get a job--I might be mistaken.../shrug--anything other than fast food is good.
Reply:day care....i wouldn't choose hotel maid a lot of bad things can happen.
Reply:daycare or hotel maid

I hate washing dishes
Reply:daycare...thats a good job when you're only 14.
Reply:14? Daycare would be my advice. You surely could relate to children in a positive way.

A hotel maid job can be pretty foul. I owned a large motel and you would not believe what people do in rooms.

Washing dishes is heavy, hot, and boring work.
Reply:Our local bank offers start up money to kids who want to run a lemonade stand. My girls run theirs all summer and even sell homemade cookies. The whole neighborhood loves it. Good Luck!!
Reply:You might want to learn to spell first. The word is "which," not "witch." You cannot be a hotel maid at 14, nor a dishwasher. You need a work permit. And even if you have one, you are still too young for those jobs. Try baby sitting, dear.
Reply:Try a supermarket. Lots of teenagers work there and you might meet some new friends and have fun while earning some cash.

Jobs???????

i'm fourteen and was looking for a job. Any suggestions about what to do. Please not babysitting. I'll baisclly do anything.

Jobs???????
How about farming? With all of the labor laws out there, farming and babysitting are about it. Depends on what state you're in. Lawn mowing, house painting, pretty much anything that you could consider "self employed."
Reply:well you could doorknock your neighborhood and see if they need their lawn mowed and develop a clientele base. you could start a dog walking service and post signs everywhere
Reply:Point your search engine at the Monster Board - you'll find jobs of all sorts advertised there. But at 14 there are child labor laws that forbid you being hired for a great many jobs - so you're just going to have to accept jobs such as babysitting or do without a job until you achieve the educational level commensurate with a well-paying job.

Jobs!!!!!!!!?

I am a thirteen-yer old

and i want a job

but not in the following catagories:

-babysitting

-chores

-paper routtes

-dog walking

Jobs!!!!!!!!?
Well, at least you know what you dont want, thats and advantage. I would suggest you talk with your parents (or family) and try to think what do you like to do.

Also, you can star by working at your own house...

Good luck.
Reply:try internet job
Reply:well, depending on where you live - some grocery stores hire at 14 around some places.

Other than that - you ruled out the typical teenage jobs, so how about your #1 job: school!
Reply:wow, you might as well stayed unemployed, 13 year olds can only get the jobs you just rejected
Reply:you could milk cows
Reply:clothes modeling is not on your list!

Jobs......?

I'm 15 and want to get a job. But where?

Jobs......?
At that age, you are better off looking at a local fast food restaurant, a retail store or a landscaping company. Don't commit to a job unless you can be there when expected.
Reply:Check with your local unemployment office. They have great job searching tools. Yes even for 16 year olds.
Reply:On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.
Reply:Check with your school counselor, church organization, community service even the dept of Social Services.
Reply:depending on where you live most jobs will not take any minor under 16. your best bet is to just babysit. or get your lifegaurd certificate. or dishwash. you just have to go around and ask. goodluck

Jobs?????????

Can someone tell me about a job that you dont have to go to school for very long but earn alot of money?? serious ????

Jobs?????????
Radiologist. You could go for an associates and get earn at least 300,000 a year.
Reply:You're welcome. I'm glad that i could help you. Report It

Reply:IT

Read some books and work with windows a little. Get a certification and you should be able to get a entry-level support role if you can deal with people and problem issues. If you want to get into programming you don't really need alot of school but it helps. Mainly hit the books and try to get certified. good programmers earn over 6 figures in most areas.

Jobs?????????

Does anyone know where a 14-year-old can get a job? And please don't say McDonalds or Burger King.

Jobs?????????
Depending on where you live, I think. In California, you can't work until you're 16. Right now you can be an intern, which sucks cause you don't get paid but it's worth it. Because once you can work, you can get a better job and make more money.
Reply:please come to calgary , alberta canada......... we have so many jobs , you can snap your finger and find one , plus they lowered the age to 12 here !! but twelve is only with parental concent , but still your 14 so ya , come here!
Reply:You can't even get a job there until you're 16
Reply:If you can, try a small locally owned little shop.
Reply:I suggest you to do Data entry job. It will not make you rich but you can make some quick cash at home by simply entering data .It is a simple program that any one can do.You may not make huge dollars in a week but you can make comfortable living from it, only when you work with the legitimate data entry companies.
