Jobs?????????????

are there any jobs that 14 year old girls can get? besides babysitting

Jobs?????????????
Teenage jobs are best done through your local school, public library or church. You will be surprised at the job opportunities posted in your Church. They might be able to hook you up in summer type jobs like caddying in golf courses, day camps for kids, life guards in town pools, etc.

Here are some job sites for teenagers and other useful information for teenagers.

How about going into business? If you have a skill that you can make money on why not? For example, if you are creative and good with your hands you can make something and sell it to your classmates, friends and relatives. Or you can buy things at discount and sell them at a profit. You can also wash cars and do odd jobs for your neighbors. When I was a kid a I shined shoes on weekends. Even if you don't make money, the experience would be well worth it. Go to these sites for more information on how to start a teen business.

Reply:Here's a short list of jobs which you can create to generate income:

1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item.

2. Become a "poser" who assists wedding photographers in setting and arranging various individuals in group and single photographic positions. "Posers" carry around a sketch book of various sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various wedding pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local wedding photographers and wedding planners, accordingly. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are often invited to attend all dining activities.

3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.

5. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.

6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow delivery of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any receipt of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each package handled by you.

7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate with the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a very long period of time to activate a waiting list, you want to offer the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any lengthy period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call back fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your fee schedule near the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will value your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- often beyond the range of any inhouse paging system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not take advantage of the connectivity to make the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison.

8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

Good luck!

Jobs??.....?

my daughter wants to start working so save up enough money for a car. what are some big chains or franchises that you know of that will hire young teens? thanks so much. also any summer jobs would be helpful.

Jobs??.....?
If she is at least 16 years old, I think she should apply to Walgreen's. Apply on line in the store closes to your home and her application and job skills results will be released to the local stores in the area. Make sure she doesn't wear jeans. Most managers will observe the applicant even though they won't interview until she has completed the on line application and skills assessment. When she has completed the process have her ask for the store manager to identify herself and tell him/her she just completed her application. This way they are aware of who she is when they read the application. good luck!!!!
Reply:what state are you in? Shaws Supermarkets hires 15 yr olds to work over the summer....good luck!
Reply:The best place for a teen to get their first job is at the grocery store. Usually grocery stores need people to work all year long. The hours and pay are fair. Grocery Stores also treat young kids very well and are aware of family and school functions and responsibilities.
Reply:Hi I know that Avon has a thing where they target teens called Mark. You would just go to www.meetmark.com reference code bbledsoe to get started for only $20.

Good Luck!!

Jobs......?

What jobs are available for a 14 year old in Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area?"

Jobs......?
Not a ton. Have you gotten a work permit from your school? At your age, you will need one for an employer to even be able to consider hiring you. Look at grocery stores for bagger jobs, they will hire 14 year olds. Do jobs around your neighborhood- cut lawns, shover snow, rake leaves, do spring cleanup work in flowerbeds, babysit, pet sit, house sit, wash cars, etc. You will have to put some work into promoting yourself and advertising (make a bunch of copies an dput them on mailboxes in your neighborhood, etc), but you can make decent money if you are a hard worker.
Reply:try the mall

but you might be alittle young

grocery store stacking shelves and bagging

or getting carts

any neiborhood thing

walking dogs

grass

shovlin show

i have a friend who started busing at 15 makes decent money
Reply:I would say you can try Kroger or fast food restaurants. But do make sure you have a worker's permit.
Reply:You could get a job delivering papers. They hire pretty young. All you need is both feet %26amp; 1 arm, maybe a bike if you have really good balance.

Jobs??????

Ok I'm 13 will be 14 in Nov. So in 2 yrs. i'll be 16, and have my learners permit, so I was thinking of saving 4 A car. And I was wondering if there any jobs A 14yr old can get 2 start saving???? So any advice any1 could give me would be appriciated! 'cause I want A Range Rover!

Jobs??????
Leroy L's and Money's answers above are scams. You don't make money surfing the web. Also, since you you said you are not old enough to enter into contracts with them, and they still contacted you about it, that is more proof they are out to scam you.

At 13, your options are very limited. Depending upon where you live and the time of year, you could baby sit, shovel snow, mow yards, clean houses, walk pets, etc.
Reply:as far as jobs go u may be stuck with either having to do a lemonade stand or babysitting. Or you could walk dogs or mow lawns. sorry those are the only jobs that i can think of.

Reply:There is a city, town, county, or parish, by the name, Columbus, in every State in America.

Even, in other Countries of the America's.

Columbus is the founding father, of this Continent.

It is impossible to guess, which one you are in.

Just like there is a Jefferson county or parish, in almost every State, as well. You are probably in, Columbus Ohio, at least that's my immediate thought.

You know when I first read this, I thought of Mississippi, right off hand, but then there is this resounding feeling, it is Ohio.

Why do you put me through this. It is a vexation to my spirit, it drains me, I only do it, this time, because you are so young.

Please if you would add a detail, inscribing your geographic location, under your question. Just press on, edit, then press on, add detail. I know there, exist many farms with cattle, chickens, fields of corn, wheat and cotton, etc., if it is Mississippi, that may need a farm hand, part time. In a bigger city, like in Ohio, you may acquire a paper route. There is a Mickadee's and burger king, in town, I am sure. The local Wall-Mart is a great prospect for starters. You start there, at your age, the way you are, wanting to work, you move up the corporate latter fast. It is a big corporation.

It may be the biggest corporation, in the U.S.

I believe this is how success, is gained.

You asked an impressive question, at your age, very, very, gracious.

I send a little prayer for you to Heaven, that you find employment, that your life takes off from now on, all the way to the top.

Where ever you want to find yourself, that is where you will be.

God bless us all...
Reply:Try fast food; retail. Stay away from Walmart. I worked for walmart and its not all its supposed to be. They are supposed to be a family oriented company; they act like they are until you are actually working for them; then they could care less. I worked there for almost four years and then quit to be a stay at home mom. I can't even describe everything to you. For a few examples; I put God and my family above all. They don't care. At first they was making me work on Sundays when I was supposed to be in church. Then I finally got it worked out to be off on Sunday; but Christmas Eve was on Sunday the last yr I worked; and they made me work; even though its against my religion to work on Sunday unless you're working for hospital or somewhere that matters that needs you. Also; anyone gay please don't take this wrong; I am not judging you; but for those that don't agree with being gay. Walmart joined partnership with the gay and lesbian company. I don't know all the details about it; because they didn't want us to know. They could donate that company so much money; but yet couldn't hardly pay us anything. We did good just to get our kids on medicaid. You make your own decision; but Walmart is not a good company to work for. I just quit this past May; so its not been that long ago. The cashiers now have to share a till. If the till is wrong; everyone who worked under it that day is held responsible. The till is left in the drawer from 12am to 12am. So who knows all the mistakes that could be made in 24 hrs not to mention if anyone steals on purpose. Sorry this is so long; but I can't help it; I just felt like you needed to be warned. Also; to call in; you have to call a 1-800 number to get a confirmation number then talk to your store manager and you are only allowed so many. There is soooo much stuff about walmart. God Bless You finding what you want/need.

JObS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
There aren't a lot of good websites actually. When I was in high school I worked at the local library. It was a job through the county government. I found out where you could apply for county jobs by looking online and then I went downtown and looked at all the job applications that someone my age could apply for. I also went to places like grocery stores, book stores, just about any store and asked for an application. I got 2 interviews but it took a couple months before anything came up. I didn't get a call for an interview for three months for the library job, but I got it and in the meantime I worked at a local stable where I took riding lessons. I cleaned tack there.

Don't give up, just try new resources!

Check the jobs and "gigs" (part time and/or short term jobs) in the local version of Craig's List (http://www.craigslist.org) that's most appropriate for Hazleton, PA. I don't know which one that is, because there are several, but you can find it here - http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/pa - which lists 9 Pennsylvania sites.

Check Indeed.com which probably has the most jobs listed because it collects them from job sites, employers, etc.

And check the Pennsylvania page of Job-Hunt.org -

http://www.job-hunt.org/jobs/pennsylvani... - for links to local employers including your town government and local school district, as well as local newspaper classifieds online.

Hi sorry I am from Belfast. I would suggest you go round all your local shops such as fruit shops, newsagents, hair dressers etc and ask they would have any part-time weekend jobs you can help out with. The best job I would consider is your local cafe as they always need extra staff!

good luck :)

Stay away from Cash Create and other survey Web sites!

It's a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.

If you choose to get suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

Jobs......?

I am looking for my first job, something that will help pay for college and my car. Anyone recommend any good first jobs? I already babysit and work in my dad's office a little bit, i want somewhere where I can drive and work after school and possibly on weekends.

Jobs......?
I've been waiting tables all throughout high school and college, I did many other jobs on and off but made the most money in the restaurant. It can fit easily with your school schedule and bring in few hundred dollars a week. Plus its fun since most other waiters are students too, you can connect, make friends, and go out and talk about how much bad your job is sometimes. Just kidding, it is more fun then hassle and not everyone has the patience and character to do that.

But yea I paid my own way through school, bought new car, two computers, and lots of shoes all do to my waitress job, so it was all worth it

Good luck

Reply:Waiter , waitress , or aerobics instructor is good or gym instructor if they let you, and you know what your doing and have the education. If your a student in a related field try to find something in a similar role, The old joke was Psychology and being a barman or waitress. MC Donald's and some of the others used to help fit work around study schedules. If you can get to be a registered Nurses aid, there is lots of work in nursing homes, you can do around studying. I used to read a lot about girls who did modeling in those sales magazines to pay their way through school.

Jobs??????

I really need a job. Im 13 years old and looking for work. There is no standard jobs like shop-rite of course for a 13 yr old, but any ideas that I can make some cash?

Jobs??????
Well first of all I give you credit for being ambitious at age 13! Taking responsiblity to make your own money at 13 and not rely on your parents is a rare trait that I wish I had at your age.

Well a lot of teenagers to make cash will give a car wash, sell lemmonade, sell cookies, sell coupons, when it gets warmer out mow the lawn for a neighbor, watch a neighbors kids, do house cleaning for a neighbor or friend, I have even see kids make money off of selling collectable cards to their friends.

Making a lot of money at your age can be tough, but it still can be done if you work hard.
Reply:Try selling stuff on ebay or craigslist.org. or try tutoring. I understand that you probably would like some spending money but ask your parents for money. and just tell them that you'll promise to take care of them later on when they are older. good luck Report It

Reply:The legal age for one to have a job is 18 years. I'm afraid you'll too young to secure one. How about asking your mom if you can do some house chores and get paid by her?

Hi. I was wondering what types of jobs you can get with a zoology degree. Can someone tell me some? I want to have a job studying animals, but are there many jobs like that?

Jobs......?
You can teach, consult, work at a museum, go into fisheries or wildlife conservation .... The list is a long one but so is the list of applicants. As you advance in your studies, you can determine what you want to specialize in and what jobs are out there for you.
Reply:You can work at a zoo you idiot!

Jobs???????????

So Im applying for a job at this supermarket which is always looking for people and everybody gets jobs there. Two of my friends in the last 2 weeks got jobs. And theyre getting pretty desperate because theyre looking for temporary workers if theres a strike. I applied online and last time they called me (i got talked out of going to the interview.) without me calling them. I dont know if i should call them this time. My friend always said i should call but i worry about coming across as pushy. And should I Iapply at the temp workers job fair too? IOr should I just stay wiith my online app? And should I call?

Jobs???????????
Well in my opinion you should probably go and do an interview. A lot of employers that sit face to face with possible employees like to see the attitude of the person. Sometimes pushy is a good thing showing that things will get done when you are put on a task
