2 jobs?? Fired?

im currently in school but i was working two jobs to make extra money during the summer. i started the first job in May and started the second job in June. I decided to quit the first job because the second job was giving me more work hours. i gave two weeks notice. July 27 was my last day. well July 23, i got fired from my second job, which was unexpected otherwise i would keep the first job. well now im looking for a new job and i was wondering should i list both jobs? im thinking i should only list the first because i got fired from the second job. plz help!! thanks

2 jobs?? Fired?
Since both jobs were short, you don't have to list either, but if you want to list any, then go for the first. When they ask why you left, tell them you had an offer for another job but it fell through. It's the closest to the truth.
Reply:It depends on why you were fired. If it was not due to your job performance than list both jobs. On the application, when asked why you are no longer there. Say that you will explain if interviewed.

Hope this helps.
Reply:You should list both jobs. If you leave it off, they will likely find out about it anyway %26amp; it will raise suspicions about why you didn't list it and not hire you. If they find out you left it off after you get hired, you can get fired from that job for cause (dishonesty on the application).

That's a huge bummer that happened to you!
Reply:There is no big public database that lists every job you have ever done except at the social security administration. This information is not available to employers due to privacy concerns. Your credit report does not list every job you ever had and employers do not have access to this information anyway.

The other posters who told you this are wrong.
Reply:Well you have to list both jobs on your resume, because when your new job checks your back ground and sees your prior employment on your credit score sheet and you didn't list that down then that will really count against you. Every job that you work will be on your record. Just explain what happen, just state that you are a full time student that was working two jobs, then second one that you were working was offering you more hours and pay then the first job, then with in 2 weeks of resigning from your first job ( that you were responsible and gave your 2 week notice) you were let go due to downsizing or for unseen reason, that you were not given an explanation of why. Just be honest that will get you further in your job interview then trying to hid something, and I know that you are not but that is how they will look at it. Good luck and just remember, God doesn't close a door without opening a window for the better, just believe in him and trust him, he hasn't let you down so far so why would he now?!!
