What are jobs that Americans won't do?

will somebody please tell me what are jobs that Americans won't do. I currently work in a job that an Illegal Immigrant probably would not do. Even the best job a person could possibly find, is going to have it's downside. Any job sucks. If you do a job for someone else, the other person benifits more than the worker does, that is why it is called a job. I think the jobs that the illegals refer to are jobs that most people would rather not do, but would do if he/she had to support the family. I don't know of any job that I have never seen an American do. Also, in the statement "jobs that americans won't do" are legal immigrants included? I have seen LEGAL mexicans do crummy jobs such as digging ditches, picking veggies, washing cars, whatever. That "jobs Americans won't do" is a bunch of crap and I am tired of hearing that immature, inconsiderate line of crap. Just because you see stupid stuff on TV like American Idol, don't assume that all of us are stupid. Get the HELL OUT.

What are jobs that Americans won't do?
There are none. If they really need a job and the government will no longer just give them money they will work.

Reply:Jobs for less than minimum wage, no benefits, no taxes. That's why the illegals get hired.


Why pay someone minimum wage when you can pay someone less. Why hire someone who will complain is something is not right when you can hire someone you can fire on a whim. Why pay unemployment.


Our government needs to concentrate less on the illegals ant more on the employers who illegally hire them.

1. Because China can manufacture products so cheaply, textile companies hire illegals who will work for way less so the product can be competitively priced. I'm assuming if the company hired legal workers, all the costs they would have to pay for a higher salary as well as benefits and taxes would be passed onto the consumer via price increases.





2. Regarding produce picking...I believe we Americans don't want to and won't do those jobs even if we have no other income. If we did, wouldn't you think all the people displaced and unemployed by Hurricane Katrina would be taking up all those jobs? I know when I got out of college I worked an overnight shift at a fastfood restaurand and I hated it! But it pushed me to find a better job in record time! We have far too many unemployed people for anyone to say that American's will do these heavy labor jobs. The problem is, because these people are "too good" to start at the bottom, someone has to pick the crops so we turn to the illegals. So not only do we have to pay for domestic costs for illegals (hospital care etc) we have to pay unemployment and welfare to those who could work, but just choose not to because it's not the job they "want". Insanity!

Just because you work in a crappy environment doesn't make you part of the sample population. I don't hold any opinion about legalizing the illegal, but sure do know that we Americans likes to be lazy. No wonder we go through McDonald's drive through 3 times a day and complain if they forget to super-size our fries.


LOL...I would like to invent a machine which will help us fart! Like lifting your left and then expanding the butt chicks...If I can get a prototype...I will outsource the manufacturing to China....and then sell it to U'll!


BTW...Vote next time smartly...so that we don't invade others depending on lies. And then don't loose our future work force of this country on the front line of war. Big daddy is just trying to cover his butt and legalize the illegals so that he can collect tax and not be blamed for ruining this country's future!
Reply:the claim isn't that no americans will do the jobs, but that not enough americans will do them, so there are unfilled jobs in agriculture, construction, and cleaning industries. there are jobs where the pay and benefits just aren't good enough to draw american workers in (who could be getting more pay with benefits doing telemarketing.) but for someone in mexico, that lousy job looks enticing, because their economy is struggling.


illegal immigrants often work overtime without extra pay, or work in dangerous conditions without health insurance. even if americans were willing to do that, employers wouldn't dare treat american citizens that way, but they can get away with treating illegal immigrants illegally, because they know they won't want to risk going to the police.
Reply:Americans generally are unwilling to much of the low paid agricultural work that needs to be done by hand 'cos no-ones invented a device to do it yet. And the reason you see legal immigrants doing some of this work is because unlike most Americans, they aren't spoiled to the point they feel a sense of entitlement to a certain standard of living.





I think everyone here (legal or not) should have to take the citizenship exam, and if you fail, even if you were born here, you get traded with someone who passed and wants in from somewhere else! Just kidding, who would build my cars, fix my TV, do my banking, build my houses, work in my hospital...(LOL)

You will do whatever it takes to survive, American, Hispanic, Asian ....whomever. Americans just like having a scapegoat for their own laziness. I am an American and proud to be one, but I do not understand our new "It's not my fault" generation. If you don't like your job, get an education and get a better job. Don't tell me you can't afford it, I was a single mom raising 4 kids on my own with little help and I went back to college in my 30's. It wasn't easy, but it worked and so did I. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.
Reply:I think that every time I see people working out in the very hot and very cold i always see hispanics. The americans are only bossing them around. Any job that is out side for 9 hours a day and six days a week is what you will not see an american do.
