What jobs can a linguist get?

I am in high school and i LOVE languages! i am currently taking three (German, French and Welsh) As a job i would love to able to learn new languages and use them for something useful. I know that lots of jobs for linguists include teaching a language or like working for a large company, however I don't believe I would be really good at, or enjoy either job. Not to be picky but are there any other jobs that linguists can do? Like i think my dream job would be like comparing languages to each other and like seeing how they developed overtime and like still get to learn more languages. Is that a real job or do i need to compromise with an office job or something? or in order to do my dream job should i take a different major?

*sorry this is REALLY long*

What jobs can a linguist get?
Sincerely speaking from my heart and for your best interest, majoring as a linguist or in semantics (this concentration can be worded many ways) wouldn't be profitable in this day and age since English, Spanish, Chinese and Russian are the world's top 4 languages utilized.

This is due to globalization and modernization... therefore you are better off making a living on other fast-growth jobs like business, technology, science or health.
Reply:Welcome to my world lol

Im graduating this year and when i get out of here (finally!) im gonna be working in an airline as an international flight assistant.
