The best jobs and most needed right now in the airforce?

so, i am joining the airforce. pretty excited about it!!!! YAY! I am finally following my heart and doing something for myself! Anyway, Im just wondering what jobs are most needed right now. I prefer a health care job, but Im not sure if they are so much needed. My husband is also active duyt airforce, so i really want a flexible job that will be easier to get me staioned with him here where i am now! Do you have any suggestions? Also, is there any way that I could get lets say Macdill AFB and a guaranteed job here? Im pretty sure about the job, but Im sure the base this is a no! LOL! I see adds for certain jobs like " airforce nurses needed", and I wasnt sure if that meant you got to be stationed here or not since its in this paper here. But, Im dreaming..I know it!

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, you could probably get the best low down from your hubby. Good luck getting Medical. It takes a special recruiter as most medical positions are pretty overmanned (believe it or not). The AFI's are changing for AF manning so I can't speak for anytime down the road but Explosive Ordinance Disposal is in need (with a signing bonus too). Pararescue, Combat Controlled, AF Special Forces is always in need. If you want maximum flexibilty for being stationed with your hubby I would go Security Forces, Personnelist, or Services Specialist (Cook, Fitness Center, Loding, etc.) AFSC (Job Code) is a pretty easy one to get guaranteed, however, the base one might be a little more difficult. Being Mil-to-Mil married, you will probably start off at your husbands home base right now until yout put in for a Joint Spouse Assignment. I know every few years the Air Force releases the NECP (Nurse Enlisted Comissioning Program). There are a few prerequesits but it can be done after 3-4 years. Good Luck in your venture and I hope this information helps.
Reply:Sorry, but I don't think you will be able to get a medical job. They are very hard to get in the Air Force. As far as where you will be stationed, it is the needs of the service. You can request a base, but there are no guarantees. You go where they need people.
Reply:Wow. As far as I know you have to be a nurse or go to college while you're in to be a nurse, they don't train you. From what I've heard they are really looking for Airborne Cryptologic Linguists. I'm going to be a Ground Cryptologic Linguist and while my bonuses aren't as big my sign on bonus is still $12,000. Airborne is pretty demanding from what I've heard though.
