Decent Paying Jobs for 17-18yrs olds??

Hey I'd like some info and suggestions on jobs that are decent for 17-18yr olds. Now before the usual answers come up, I've had four jobs. One fastfood(low pay,no respect), Assistant to remodeling, a bagger, and a waiter. Currently I am a bagger and make $8/hr, the thing that sucks is the hours, the breaks being every 3 hours. I am getting kind of sick of this and I have good evaluations at work. Basically what else is out there?? Its hard to get a job because of stupid minor laws protecting lazy kids. I'd really like to find something with more hours/pay. I turn 18 in a couple months too so any suggestions on that would be great too!! Since I will do a job hunt when I turn 18 but its hard with the bad economy. I'm not looking for an easy job, my current job is too easy! I am fine with hard work, as long as its worth it! I do plan to go to college and have a career but I am stuck now due to age. I've had two jobs but nothing good now, so I would appreciate advice and info! Thank You!

Reply:Corner stores should be very willing to hire you. You have experience in the areas that they need and you seem teachable if there are any extras that they need to show you. You would have to work with someone though because of the selling of alcohol. There are also chain stores like "Wal-Mart" and "Lowes" that should be open for you They have many areas to keep a person busy and tired. Don't forget gas stations either. What about clothing and shoe stores? Shop around the mall for applications. There are plenty of opps. What are you good at? What are you looking for? Is there anything available in the field that you would like to go to college for?
Reply:since you're 18 now lot's of company are finding jobs for 18 years old. but be sure to love your job in the next job you find.

try this site http://teenlink.nypl.org/jobs.html

that site is suits for you...
Reply:intern somewhere. It's beneficial for your college resume and for your wallet. I know someone interning at a law firm and she gets paid over $10 an hour, or if your not into that I heard that if you're lucky, you can try getting an assistant/errand boy job at offices.

Check out tutoring jobs, those can pay really well also
Reply:Apply to the city or county for work. Maybe the parks maintenance.
Reply:most of the grocery stores in my area have "kids" doing all kinds of jobs not just bagging. why not ask if there is a more challenging position available instead of bagging (which is usually the poorest paying position). think stocker, cashier, courtesy booth or one of the specialized departments. i have known many people who remained at the same jobsthroughout their entire college years because the hours are very flexible and even if they went away to school they could come home and work holidays and summers.
Reply:I started this site a few weeks ago and make pretty good money just sitting at home. I've been told by others that thay make thousands a week here but I don't but I have make $400 in a few weeks, and only being onsite about an hour each day! FREE can't hurt to check it out! :)

I hope this helps!

Reply:A bunch of kids at my school work at Geico and they made anywhere from 11 to 15 grand last year.

Try checking out the Geico website to see if they have any job opportunities in your area.
Reply:Find something you enjoy doing, such as working with your hands *could be in construction* Make sure you would like the work, and the pay is reasonable. Go for It. Also, like me when i turn 18, im going to do Praccs studies. *medical studies*. Puts a pretty good chunk of change in your pocket for things you need/want.

GOOD LUCK
Reply:You could always go for an internship at a high profile company. Although it may not pay well, the payoff down the road will be immense.
Reply:Age isn't holding you down, it's your education that's holding you down. You need to earn a degree of some sort if you want a real job! Good luck!
