Did you notice that the fack there are no jobs in michigan is not making the newes it You can even get a job at a Mcdonals Tacol bell or WaL-Mart I not talking good jobs just any jobs like 6.95 mim wage to 10 a hour jobs. But no jobs. In new orlines there jobs every where but it makes the newes like bad because of the hurrcane. They make war and other Issuses far more inportain than the fact there no jobs in michagan.

NO jobs in michigan?
you underestimate the job market here in Detroit (and all of Southeastern Michigan for that matter). There really is nowhere to work. No McJobs, no temp service work, its pretty bad. There is some small job creation and openings, but that if far outweighed by the number of layoffs and secondary job-cuts that have been made around here. If I had to guess, the ratio of "any job" to applicant has got to be close to 500 to 1. And for skilled manufacturing work, literally 10,000 to 1.

But, enough boo hoo, and on to the reason no one seems to care... Its an inevitability to globalization and an opportunity to adapt to a new model of doing business. The auto companies were built when the idea was 'Manpower'. Now, its computerized assembly lines, and 1/10 the work force is needed. So, everyone is taking this opportunity to slim down, modernize, and stay viable (hopefully). This is inevitable, but the effects on this local economy have been devestating. 1 in 39 homes in foreclosure, severance packages are running out, unemployment ran out long ago on literally 10s of thousands..

Its not pretty, but its my home, if you don't like it, leave before you get shot...
Reply:Beware the Socialists! They are convincing the local governments in Michigan and other places to spend money on welfare recipients rather than help big and small businesses to develop and create more jobs. Report It

Reply:If you write and spell like this on a job application, I'm not surprised that you're having trouble getting hired.
Reply:And no jobs in Italy either. It's where I am from.
Reply:I moved out of Michigan 24 years ago and Michigan had no Jobs then I'm sure it has not changed . The jobs that are open would not feed a single person .
Reply:I doubt there are zero jobs in Michigan. It is a tough hiring market in some cities due to a depressed economy, but there certainly are jobs and some areas are prosperous.
