Chicago Jobs? Why are they listed so far away?

I'm really getting ticked off at the various web sights as well as some of our government run job help services. I live near MidWay Airport. Jobs I am matched to are 95% of the time near Joliet, NW Indiana, north of O'Hare, west near Rockford, but none are near by. We are supposed to be going "green" in this country. Yet, employers would want me driving for 3 hours a day to waste 50% of my new job income in my gas tank. This matching my skills with jobs so far away is absolutly stupi. I've even put in my skills things like Experience: "If you are father than 5 miles from my home address don't waste my time contacting me, and save your time as well." Still, I get job offeres from Wisconsin, Taxas, over-seas. What's up? Are there no jobs nearby so I can be "green" and help save energy? I guess even employers are "greed-orientated" and want us in the car 3 hours per day, wasting even more precious gas. Comments? I will NOT accept a job over 10 miles from my home address.

Carpool. Ride Metra. Ride Pace. Move closer. If being "green" is so important to you, then do something to get the job AND make it environmentally sound. If not, stop complaining and get a job at the airport.
